General Motors-owned brand Cadillac will launch its new flagship sedan at the Los Angeles Auto Show, it announced this week.

The brand has now confirmed that the Cadillac XTS, first featured as a concept at last year’s Detroit Motor Show, will officially debut at the LA event.

Rumours surrounding the model reached fever pitch when Cadillac accidentally let slip a photo on their media website.

The brand has since stated that the 2013 model, which is expected to reach US showrooms next year, will debut November 16 ahead of the show’s opening to the public on November 18.

No further details were provided, but the car looks to be slimmer and lighter than the concept model and could be powered by a V6 engine.

It is known to feature a new infotainment system dubbed ‘CUE’, which includes an 8-inch touch screen with haptic feedback, cutting down the number of infotainment buttons from an average of 20 to just four.

The system will be able to pair entertainment and information data from up to ten bluetooth devices as well as offering a separate 12.3inch gauge cluster to replace the traditional speedometer and fuel gauge with digital versions.
