Merging different programs within a single architectural project generally presents challenges, but the ICE Dragon City (DC6) project demonstrates that a demanding plan can deliver clever results.

Ideas for Contemporary Environment worked closely with Trinity to win the large-scale commission that aims to house residential condominiums, a hotel, shopping and offices within one structure. The building will stand in Vung Tau, Vietnam, and bring together tourists, inhabitants and employees in spaces that embody the very nature of adaptability.

Such immense infrastructure often has a hard supremacy over its surroundings, but the architects who conceived the towers opted for a twisting form that speaks to the fluidity of the site’s topography, and to the changeability of the interior. The ICE Dragon City is an essay on functional flexibility and environmental interaction.
